“I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
After forty years of welding, I still appreciate the peace that comes with the intense focus, the rituals and lessons learned from continual practice. These are born of my love of the natural world and the creatures that dwell there, simply and harmoniously. I wish for us to look up when we take our walks, to see the light, feel the beauty and welcome the miracle of our lives and all that surrounds us. Anatomy is very important for the confirmation of my sculptured birds and animals. However, the spirit of the creature is paramount.
